With experience spanning three continents and a vision for global leadership, Marouane Ziani's path to HKUST Business School illustrates how personal experience shapes professional aspirations. His story showcases the transformation possible when global perspective meets structured business education.

FROM AFRICA TO ASIA: BUILDING A GLOBAL CAREER

Having worked across Africa, Europe, and Asia, Marouane developed a unique understanding of international business dynamics. "An MBA has always been a goal," he shares, viewing it as essential for bridging knowledge gaps and expanding his professional network. His diverse background provided the foundation, but he recognized that advancing to senior leadership required more structured business education.

DISCOVERING HONG KONG: A TURNING POINT

His connection with Hong Kong began unexpectedly during the pandemic, where he witnessed firsthand the city's resilience and business dynamism. When considering MBA programs, a recommendation from his former manager, an HKUST alumnus, provided valuable insight into the program's impact. The school's reputation for academic excellence and distinguished faculty sealed his decision.

CHOOSING HKUST: WHERE INTIMACY MEETS EXCELLENCE

What set HKUST apart was its unique combination of world-class education and intimate learning environment. "The small class sizes create opportunities for meaningful interactions that larger programs can't offer," he explains. This personalized attention, combined with a diverse cohort and flexible study options, aligned perfectly with his vision for professional growth.

BEYOND ACADEMICS: A HOLISTIC TRANSFORMATION

At HKUST, Marouane found more than just business education. Through club activities, case competitions, and daily interactions with peers from diverse backgrounds, he's developing crucial leadership and cross-cultural competencies. The case method teaching style provides practical insights into real-world business challenges, while the global alumni network offers valuable connections for future opportunities.

Looking ahead, Marouane's journey reflects a broader truth about modern business education - it's about personal transformation and preparing for leadership in an interconnected world. His story exemplifies how HKUST MBA serves as a catalyst for those seeking to make their mark in the global business landscape.
